At Dark Peak we source puppies from carefully selected, licensed breeders of Labradors and Springers. These partnerships provide access to generations some of the best bloodlines from across the United Kingdom ensuring every puppy has the right genetics, development, and foundations to succeed operationally. These breeds combine drive, focus, confidence and environmental adaptability, making them outstanding candidates for detection, working and sporting roles.

Green Dogs POA

 Carefully selected green dogs are available to clients in the UK and abroad. A green dog is untrained but has all the required  attributes & has been chosen specifically for its potential to become an exceptional detection dog.

Each dog goes through an extensive selection process, where we assess:

Temperament and personality

Social confidence and adaptability

Natural drive and play motivation

Olfactory ability

Health, structure, and overall trainability

Part-trained dogs POA  

Having already undergone rigorous testing and development, ensuring they are confident, motivated, and ready for progression. 

They are trained to search for a neutral target scent — typically a tennis ball, Kong, or pieces of each & are  conditioned to give a clear and reliable indication in real world scenarios this ensures that every part-trained dog we supply has been exposed to authentic training conditions not just sterile environments, giving them the strongest possible foundation for operational development.

Fully trained detection dogs POA  

are exactly that — ready to deploy and work operationally from day one. Working in partnership with some of the industries most experienced trainers in the fields of Narcotics, Conservation, Explosive and conservation these dogs have already undergone rigorous testing, development and assessment in, ensuring they 

All dogs are fully health-checked and supplied with up-to-date vaccinations and the necessary paperwork for international travel, where required. The dogs we provide are environmentally sound, confident, and highly motivated, with strong play drive and responsiveness both on and off lead.
